Salary Range: $72,800/yr. - $93,600/yr. ($35/hr. - $45/hr.)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM


Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced CAD Manager with a diverse background in the AEC industry to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a proactive communicator, capable of working cooperatively with managers and production leads to ensure efficient project execution. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of production CAD experience, particularly focused on the transportation discipline, while also leveraging models and drawings from multiple disciplines for coordination.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversight and maintenance of FDOT\IDOT\MnDOT CAD standards throughout the company.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining Corporate and Local Detail Libraries.
  • Implement Open Roads Designer (ORD) standards and workflows to promote work-sharing between offices.
  • Beta test software upgrades and add-ons prior to company-wide deployments.
  • Troubleshoot software and workflow problems in day-to-day operations.
  • Ensure record drawing standardization and protocol adherence.
  • Standardize E-Field booking programming and processes.
  • Attend user groups to ensure the team uses the most efficient software means.
  • Prepare renderings and project simulations.
  • Provide application support and manage knowledge resources.
  • Lead training sessions to enhance team capabilities.

Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of production CAD experience, focused on the transportation discipline.
  • Ability to interact with and leverage models and drawings from multiple disciplines for coordination.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple short and long-term tasks and project deadlines.
  • Technical writing and documentation skills are a plus.
  • Production-work capable within a specific discipline.
  • Knowledge of National CAD Standard documents is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2-year technical degree.
