Job Overview: Selectek is seeking a CAD Lead to support wireless telecommunications projects. This role involves leading and performing QA/QC responsibilities for right-of-way designs and production CAD work. Projects will include wireless tower facilities, rooftop equipment installations, small cell deployments, and fiber projects. This is a remote position with flexible hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage CAD drafters, ensuring quality control and adherence to project deadlines.

  • Produce and modify construction drawings, standard details, and prototypes in collaboration with the Design Engineer.

  • Perform QA/QC checks on right-of-way designs, wireless towers, rooftop installations, power, telephone, fiber, and co-locations.

  • Communicate with project engineers and coordinators to ensure quality performance.

  • Adhere to company CAD standards and maintain electronic and paper files.

  • Provide input on process improvements to optimize efficiency and production.

  • Occasionally participate in field design walks to gather project data and requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10+ years of CAD design experience using AutoCAD in the wireless telecommunications industry.

  • 10+ years of experience working on a local network and server.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel.

  • Proven experience leading drafting teams, conducting quality control checks, and managing project deadlines.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Experience:

  • Background in wireless telecom design work, right-of-way project management, small cell project experience, and wireless tower design.

  • Familiarity with companies specializing in wireless telecom design.

Additional Details:

  • Sponsorship: Not available

  • Travel: Not required

  • Background Check: 7-year background check required

  • Drug Screen: 10-panel drug screen (no exceptions for marijuana, even with a medical card)

  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM (flexible start time from 6:30 AM available)

    Location: Remote

    Employment Type: Contract to Hire (6-month+ TTD)

    Pay Rate: $33-$35/hour (Candidates with slightly higher salary expectations may be considered)
