Long-term CAD Drafter career opportunity with a local leader in the canopy & cover fabrication Industry!
  • Location: Lithia Springs, GA 30122
    • [with potential hybrid/remote opportunity down the line, depending on exp.]
  • Employment: ~ 6-month Contract-to-Hire opportunity
    Pay Rate: ~ $25.00-$30.00 per hour
  • Overview: We seek an experienced Drafter to create shop drawings for aluminum components, marking up construction documents, and preparing fabrication parts.
  • *This position offers growth, leading to client interactions for custom designs. Work includes metal panels, canopies, curtain walls, and similar designs.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and modify shop drawings from existing construction documents
  • Release finalized documents for fabrication
  • Collaborate with engineers and detailers to ensure accuracy
Requirements:
  • 3+ years' experience with shop or fabrication drawings (aluminum or sheet metal)
  • High proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents and blueprints
Preferred:
  • 3D CAD knowledge (Inventor preferred)
Additional Information:
  • Potential for long-term placement with benefits and OT pay after direct hire
  • Background check and drug screen required
Interview Process:
  • Initial AutoCAD test (30 minutes)
  • Follow-up in-person interview
