Position Summary:
As a Buyer/Planner, you will be at the forefront of our production process, responsible for ensuring the seamless flow of materials, managing inventory, and orchestrating production schedules to meet customer demands. Your role will encompass procurement, vendor management, production planning, and inventory control.

Key Duties:
  • Procurement: Source and purchase materials and supplies essential for manufacturing, working closely with established vendors to secure on-time delivery.
  • Production Planning: Develop production schedules that align with customer order requirements, maintaining lead times, and proactively adjusting schedules as needed.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor material levels, ensuring adequate availability, and optimize inventory turns.
  • Collaboration: Work alongside the production team to resolve any discrepancies related to production schedules, ensuring products are manufactured on time.
  • Vendor Relations: Manage relationships with vendors, addressing any issues related to defective materials.
  • Adaptability: Be prepared to revise production schedules promptly in response to changes in demand or manufacturing capabilities.
  • Data Utilization: Utilize ERP or MRP systems for effective inventory and production control.
  • Detail-Oriented: Maintain a high level of accuracy and completeness while adhering to deadlines.
  • Communication: Demonstrate excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Organizational Skills: Self-direct your work, staying productive and organized even in dynamic work environments.
  • Problem-Solving: Exhibit sound judgment and adaptability to make well-informed decisions based on data and analysis.
  • Resilience: Display emotional resilience and thrive in a fast-paced, pressure-filled environment.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Buyer/Planner in a manufacturing setting, with knowledge of inventory and production control.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, materials management, or related field is preferred but not required; equivalent experience is also considered.
  • An understanding of inventory turns and their significance in manufacturing operations.
  • Highly organized, self-directed, and able to manage priorities effectively.
  • Proven ability to interact effectively with diverse teams and build positive working relationships.
Pay Range:
  • $25/hr.- $30/hr.
Shift and Hours:
  • Monday- Friday
  • 8 AM- 5 PM
