Job Description


Our client is seeking an experienced Buyer to join their team. The role will be for a heavy industrial firm. The buyer will negotiate and procure approved goods for their Reno service center. In addition to buyer duties this role will also help with Quality Control documentation for projects.

 

Candidates in this role will need to have experience using SAP to issue purchase orders and negotiating framework agreements.

 

Individual must be able to:
  • Negotiate purchase orders, framework agreements for both projects and for general supply requirements (including office supplies and restock orders) at the Service Center
  • Develop vendor relationships to provide a robust and competitive bid process
  • Issue Request for Quote to relevant bidders and work with stakeholders to determine best options Communicate status with stakeholders
  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive Quality Control Documentation for each project.
  • Coordination timesheet process for shop personnel

Required:
  • 2 plus years of experience as a buyer. Experience for an industrial Engineering firm is preferred. Experience with projects that have lifecycles of several years will also be considered.
  • Experience negotiating framework agreements
  • 2 Plus years using SAP to issue purchase orders
  • Microsoft Office Product Proficiency

 

Pay Rate: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour (Depending on experience)

Term: 6 month contract to direct hire
