Job Description

Selectek is seeking two skilled BIM Modelers to contribute to our innovative Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) team in Taylor, TX.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with project BIM team members and project-level management teams.
  • Generate content for VDC team, including construction sequence planning, proposals, shop drawings, spooling, pre-assembly, pre-fabrication efforts, safety orientations, and task planning.
  • Receive, process, and archive model files from various stakeholders.
  • Develop model components from ideas to prototypes, shop/approval drawings, and assembly concepts.
  • Assist in developing sequencing and assembly steps, communicating them graphically (4D) to stakeholders.
  • Create bill of materials/cut lists, supporting pricing and estimating efforts (5D).
  • Perform QC review of work produced and assist in QA review of work by other team members.
  • Facilitate the exchange and coordination of 3D model elements with consultants, contractors, and fabricators.
  • Participate in technological collaboration among project team members.
  • Provide input to VDC Director and IT Manager regarding computer hardware and software tools.
  • Maintain model libraries, uphold model standards, and manage project archives.
Requirements:
  • 2-5 years' experience in AEC or relevant Manufacturing industry.
  • Advanced proficiency in model authoring software (Revit, SolidWorks, Inventor, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of Navisworks clash detection.
  • Strong verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.
  • Flexible work schedule to accommodate overtime or off-shift work.
Preferred:
  • Experience routing conduit.
  • Understanding of building controls systems, HPM, LSS, and fire alarm systems.
Pay Range:
  • $35/hr. - $40hr.
Shift and Hours:
  • Monday- Friday
  • 8 AM- 5 PM
