Job Description
Selectek is searching for a BIM Modeler in the Butler, Wisconsin area to serve as a single point of contact between the field, BIM team, and the shop for BIM projects.
BIM Modeler Responsibilities:
- Serves as a single Point of Contact between the field, BIM team, and shop for BIM Projects
- Works with Foremen to develop internal schedules and ensures deadlines are hit with high-quality drawings
- Ability to supervise 3-5 BIM Techs on multiple projects at the same time
- Assists GF with RFIs
- Attends Kick-off, Design, and Fab Meetings and offers valuable input
- Creating a positive team environment by maintaining contact with the construction and prefab teams
- Has the ability to populate a majority of a model without field MSOPs up to date with changes and offering input in BIM Development
- Oversees the following work of the team members and performs as well:
- Prepare BIM drawings for the project documentation and receive updates from engineers and designers as the design develops – updates also are received from field personnel as coordination continues
- Create 3D BIM drawings from 2D plans accurately displaying the intended electrical installation
- Create detailed installation and prefabrication drawings that include assembly directions
- Attend coordination meetings with other trades including travel to and sometimes work at remote job sites
- Setup Navisworks file and incorporate other trades models
- Create clash detection sets in Navisworks with other building systems involved in the BIM process
BIM Modeler Requirements:
- Associates Degree or higher
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- High Proficiency using Revit
- Knowledge and ability to read and understand design and construction documents
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task and adapt quickly
Pay Range: $31.25-$40.87 depending on experience
