Job Description
Selectek has an immediate need for a BIM Modeler/ Technician to serve as a single point of contact between the field, BIM team, and the shop BIM projects.
Required:
- Associates Degree or higher
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- High Proficiency using Revit
- Knowledge and ability to read and understand design and construction documents
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task and adapt quickly
Job Responsibilities:
- Reports directly to the BIM Manager
- Serve as a single point of contact between the field, BIM team, and shop for BIM Projects.
- Must Communicate with Engineers, Field Foreman, Project Managers, & General Contractors.
- Works with Foreman to develop internal schedules and ensures deadlines are hit with high-quality drawings.
- Ability to supervise 3-5 BIM Techs on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Assisting GF with RFIs.
- Attends Kick-off, Design, and Fab Meetings and offers Valuable input.
- Creating a positive team environment by maintaining contact with the construction and prefab teams.
- Has the Ability to Populate a Majority of a Model without field MSOPs up to date with changes and offering input in BIM Development.
- Oversees the following work of the team members and performs as well:
- Prepare BIM drawings for the project documentation and receive updates from engineers and designers as the design develops.
- Updates also are received from field personnel as coordination continues. Create 3D BIM drawings from 2D plans accurately displaying the intended electrical installation.
- Create detailed installation and prefabrication drawings that include assembly directions.
- Attend coordination meetings with other trades, including travel to and sometimes working at remote job sites.
- Setup Navisworks file and incorporate other trades models.
- Create clash detection sets in Navisworks with other building systems involved in the BIM process.
Benefits.
- The BIM Modeler is pay range of $65,000 – 85,000 based on experience, plus a yearly performance bonus
