We're seeking a VDC/BIM Coordinator to join a team and provide exceptional 3D BIM support for our growing portfolio with an Engineering Firm in Columbus, OH. You'll play a key role in creating accurate and efficient Building Information Models (BIMs) for new and existing construction projects, specifically focusing on HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems.
In this role, you'll:
- Leverage your 3-5 years of BIM experience to develop detailed 3D models using Revit, ensuring adherence to project specifications.
- Utilize your project management skills (minimum 1 year of experience) to stay organized, manage tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Collaborate effectively with internal and external teams to integrate BIM models seamlessly.
- Apply your knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM/3D modeling best practices to create high-quality models.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of construction management processes and SMACNA guidelines.
- Interpret and translate blueprints/drawings into actionable BIM elements.
- Generate clash-free Navisworks models from CAD/Revit files for comprehensive BIM coordination (proficiency in Navisworks a plus).
- Take ownership of your work, troubleshoot problems, and proactively find solutions.
- Manage day-to-day VDC/BIM tasks, including clash detection, to maintain smooth workflows.
- Actively participate in client coordination meetings to resolve issues, build relationships, and ensure project success.
- Process change orders and update project status within designated systems.
- Assist colleagues in troubleshooting and resolving Revit/BIM application challenges.
Terms: 6-month Contract-to-Hire
Rate: $48.00 – 52.00
