Job Description

We're seeking a hands-on Application Engineer to join a growing Distribution Automation team in Hampton, GA. This direct hire role blends automation, customer support, and production troubleshooting in the power grid industry. Perfect for recent grads or early-career engineers ready to get their hands dirty and make a big impact.

Salary: $60,000–$80,000+ (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, ~8am–5pm | Flexible daytime hours
Location: Onsite only – Hampton, GA
Travel: Up to 25% (domestic, short trips)

In This Role, You Will:
  • Program and configure automation controllers/relays
  • Support and troubleshoot production systems and test platforms
  • Help install and configure electric grid automation systems
  • Provide customer and internal training
  • Collaborate closely with the fabrication team to resolve real-time challenges
  • Contribute to engineering support and minor custom design work
Qualifications:
  • BS in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and willingness to be hands-on with equipment
  • Comfortable training customers and coworkers on technical systems
  • Familiarity with SCADA, SEL relays, and power distribution systems is a plus
