AutoCAD Traffic Control Designer career opportunity available! 

Location: Overland Park, KS | Pay: ~ +/- $22--$32/hr DOE | Hybrid after training

Are you ready to take the next step in your career? Our client, a growing leader in the telecommunications industry, is looking for a Traffic Control Drafter to join their team. This role is essential in supporting fiber network builds across city, county, and state highways.

What You’ll Do:
  • Use AutoCAD to create detailed Traffic Control Plans that meet city, county, and state requirements
  • Collaborate with local, state, and federal agencies on permits (e.g., UPRR, Caltrans, BLM) and right of way regulations
  • Design and implement lane closures for telecom projects, ensuring compliance with traffic engineering principles

What We’re Looking For:
  • 2+ years of experience drafting Traffic Control Plans for telecom or utility projects
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (2007 or newer)
  • Familiarity with easements, right of way, and environmental permits

Bonus Skills (Not Required):
  • Experience with RapidPlan, ArcGIS, or QGIS

Pay & Benefits:
  • ~ +/- $22--$32/hour depending on experience
  • At conversion you’ll gain benefits and PTO immediately when hired full-time
