I have a client located near Madison, WI that has an immediate need for an AutoCAD Detailer/Drafter.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for building structural steel construction models using AutoCAD.
- You will be creating part, fabrication and installation drawings for large manufacturing plants.
- Structural plate and mild steel drafting and detailing experience.
- Creating erection, approval, permit and anchor rod drawings
Requirements:
- 0-10+ years experience (willing to train entry level if you have taken AutoCAD classes)
- AutoCAD proficiency
Preferred Experience:
- Tekla or SDS/2
- Associates or Bachelors Degree
- Metal Building or Structural Steel Detailing background (highly preferred)
- Proficiency with Algebra and Trigonometry
Job Details:
- Detail building parts and create fabrication drawings from engineering design and project notes
- Create erection drawings, approval drawings, permit drawings, and anchor rod drawings
- Develops own basic product and procedure knowledge and improves technical knowledge
- Uploads parts and edit parts into the manufacturing system and releases to manufacturing
- Collaborates with project teams to discuss problems and challenges and help create solutions to move forward in a cost effective and efficient manner
- Assures customer service needs are met by meeting schedules
- Focuses on achieving department objective and profitability goals and continuous improvement as part of a high-performance work team
- Quality Check peers’ projects
Pay: $20-$32/hr. (flexibility depending on experience)
