Job Description

Selectek is hiring for a part-time Architectural Drafter in the Charlotte, NC area. This position requires you to report to the office at least 3 days a week, working a minimum of 24 hours.

Job Description:
  • Read and interpret architectural drawings
  • Selections for design drawings
  • Prepare technical, drawings, shop drawings, and details for projects
  • Interpret field takeoffs, measurements, and information obtained, as well as make any modifications as needed
  • Work closely with other members of the design team to analyze and solve design issues
  • Responsibility for maintaining multiple projects at a time and keeping up with revisions as they progress from initiation to completion
  • Be able to follow computer processes and procedures
  • Maintain a draw and build a standard option library
Required:
  • Proficient software skills including AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office Suite, and Sketchup
  • Ability to draw full construction documents
  • Knowledge of industry terminology and standard construction methods/material.
  • Have 3D visional interpretation of construction situations
  • Ability to work well with others and follow directions
  • Dedicated and trustworthy person with extra attention to detail
Preferred:
  • residential custom-building industry. ($1Mil+ Homes)
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the North Carolina house building code
  • Experience with shop drawings for millwork and custom furniture details

Job order details:
This person is doing Revit, Sketchup, and AutoCAD drafting for high-end, residential properties. They are a custom design builder, so projects will be working off construction documents, high-scale renovations, detailing, multi-million dollar condos, and luxury homes.

Pay range: $29/hour - $41/hour (depending on relevant experience)
Term of assignment: Indefinite Temp
Pay method when direct: Hourly
Location of job: Belmont, NC 28012
Hours and shift: THREE DAYS A WEEK (AVG 24 hours per week) 8AM – 5PM: Can pick which days you want to come into the office
Work from home/remote: No, not at this time
Overtime expected: Possible
Travel: Occasional to client site
Work attire: Casual
