Job Description

Selectek is hiring for a part-time Architectural Drafter in the Charlotte, NC area. This position requires you to report to the office at least 3 days a week, working a minimum of 24 hours.

Job Description:
  • Read and interpret architectural drawings
  • Selections for Design Drawings
  • Prepare technical & shop drawings and details for our projects
  • Interpret field takeoffs, measurements, and information obtained, as well as make any modifications as needed
  • Work closely with other members of the design team to analyze and solve design issues
  • Responsibility for maintaining multiple projects at a time and keeping up with revisions as they progress from initiation to completion
  • Be able to follow computer processes and procedures
  • Maintain a draw & build a standard option library

Required:
  • Proficient software skills including AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office Suite, and Sketchup.
  • Ability to draw full construction documents
  • Knowledge of industry terminology and standard construction methods/material.
  • Have 3D visional interpretation of construction situations
  • Ability to work well with others and follow directions
  • Dedicated and trustworthy person with extra attention to detail
Preferred:
  • residential custom building industry. ($1Mil+ Homes)
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the North Carolina house building code
  • Experience with shop drawings for millwork and custom furniture details.

Pay Rate: $29.00 - $41.00/hr
Term: Indefinite Temp
