Job Description
Selectek is searching for an Architectural Drafter/Designer to be responsible for residential architectural design and drafting, including block and frame construction, with the capability to solve design issues including roof layouts. This individual clearly demonstrates an understanding of the home building process.
Responsibilities:
- Produce quality Construction Documents and deliver on schedule
- Design Development
- Stay up to date on single-family residential construction techniques and codes
- Use current company standards for Revit and AutoCAD projects
- Produces quality working drawings in Revit or AutoCAD for the following:
- Customer plans – this includes having the ability to develop the preliminary design based on customer requested changes, detail as necessary, incorporate job specific information from contract documents, follow specific building company standards, check your own work for accuracy and consistency, communicate with the Building Company representative as needed.
- Standard plans – this includes having the ability to develop the preliminary design, detail as necessary, draw within the company Revit/AutoCAD standards, be thorough and consistent, ability to review your own work for accuracy and consistency, prepare marketing floor plans, Product Manual Floor Plans.
- Accurately manage assigned job priorities to achieve job schedules/deadlines
- Perform proper distribution and archival of completed work.
Required:
- 5+ years’ experience drafting for high-end single family residential projects
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
- Ability to produce quality construction documents on schedule and meet deadlines.
- Must be able to produce a full set of construction documents from design development to completion using sketches provided, develop deign detailing and understand how the detail comes together.
- Must be detailed oriented and take pride in your work.
- Must possess a broad knowledge of both block and frame construction techniques, including structure and codes.
- Excellent communicator, both written and verbal
- Ability to function well in a high-paced environment and multi-task.
