Job Description

Selectek has an opportunity for a talented Architectural Designer for a contract-to-hire position in Charlotte, NC with a high-end, custom residential Architecture firm. This is an exciting opportunity to transition to a permanent role within 6 months.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct site visits to gather accurate measurements.
  • Translate design visions into clear and concise technical drawings, leveraging your expertise in AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp.
  • Collaborate effectively with the design team to analyze and solve design challenges.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and adherence to revisions.
  • Maintain a comprehensive library of standard design options for future projects.
  • Attend client meetings as needed to present design concepts.
  • Stay up-to-date on North Carolina house building codes and industry best practices.

Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience in architectural and design drafting, with a focus on high-end residential/multifamily projects.
  • Strong passion for design and a commitment to continuous learning.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office Suite, and SketchUp.
  • Solid understanding of construction terminology, methods, and materials.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong 3D visualization skills and the ability to interpret construction plans.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively under pressure.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

Bonuses:
  • Experience and enthusiasm for the residential custom-building industry.
  • Registered Architect licensure (preferred).
