Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Architectural and Design Draftsperson to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for design, a meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment. As an Architectural and Design Draftsperson, you will be responsible for various tasks related to high-end residential and multifamily projects.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct site visits as needed for field measurements.
- Read and interpret architectural drawings.
- Prepare technical and shop drawings as well as project details.
- Work efficiently and profitably in accordance with company standards.
- Interpret field takeoffs, measurements, and information, making necessary modifications.
- Collaborate with the design team to analyze and resolve design issues.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously from initiation to completion.
- Follow computer processes and procedures for design tasks.
- Attend client meetings as required.
- Maintain a draw and build a standard option library.
- Demonstrate a high degree of passion, drive, and knowledge to achieve creative excellence.
Requirements:
- 8 years of architectural and design drafting experience with a focus on high-end residential/multifamily projects.
- Good knowledge and understanding of the North Carolina house building code.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office Suite, and Sketchup.
- Experience with shop drawings for millwork and custom furniture details.
- Knowledge of industry terminology and standard construction methods/materials.
- Strong organizational skills, self-motivated, and effective under pressure.
- 3D visual interpretation of construction situations.
- Ability to work well with others and follow directions.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage several projects.
- Demonstrate critical thinking skills.
- Dedicated and trustworthy with extra attention to detail.
Preferred:
- Experience and passion for the residential custom building industry.
Pay Rate:
$29/hr. - $41/hr.
Shift and Hours:
- Monday-Friday
- 8 am-5 pm
- Hybrid schedule.
