Job Description


Selectek is seeking an Application Engineer to join a dynamic team in Bessemer, AL. This role involves working closely with clients, the sales team, and internal teams to manage product specifications and ensure customer satisfaction from initial quotation to final product delivery.
Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and interpret customer requirements to provide accurate quotations and support profitable growth.
  • Develop strategies for proposals by identifying project, customer, and market details.
  • Create and manage proposals using established templates and electronic filing methods.
  • Implement pricing guidelines as established by management.
  • Review purchase orders to ensure alignment with quotations before order entry.
  • Generate order entry materials and address any special requirements.
  • Participate in conference calls with the sales team, channel partners, and customers.
  • Manage a database of issued proposals, statuses, and competitive information.
Qualifications & Attributes
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD; familiarity with Inventor or Solid Edge is acceptable.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of industry standards like ANSI, IEEE, and IEC.
  • Ability to read and interpret specifications, electrical drawings, symbols, and nomenclature.
  • Comfortable with creating scripts and macros in software applications.
Job Details
  • Hours: 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM CST
  • Compensation: $90,000+/year plus a 5% bonus (Direct Hire)
  • Sponsorship: Not available
