Job Description

We are seeking a Cabin Engineer to join a growing aviation team in Indianapolis, IN. This role focuses on the design, analysis, and certification of aircraft cabin interior systems for Airbus and Boeing modifications. The engineer will be responsible for creating installation, fabrication, and modification drawings while ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and STC projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and analyze mechanical components for cabin modifications (seats, overhead storage, seat belts, brackets, etc.).
  • Prepare engineering reports, work instructions, and certification documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with FAA regulations (FARs), STC process, SRM, AMM, IPC.
  • Work with AutoCAD and Inventor to develop technical drawings.
  • Collaborate with airlines and aviation clients to support aircraft interior upgrades.
  • Travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.
Requirements:
  • BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
  • 7+ years of experience in aircraft cabin interior design, analysis, and certification.
  • Strong knowledge of FAA regulations and Supplemental Type Certificates (STC).
  • Experience working with Airbus and Boeing aircraft.
Job Details:
  • Location: Indianapolis, IN (On-site).
  • Salary: $120K+ with 10-15% annual bonus based on company profit.
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM.
  • Work from Home: Limited (case-by-case basis).
  • Travel: 5-10% (Domestic & International).
  • Sponsorship: Must be a U.S. Citizen.
