Job Title: Accounting and Finance Coordinator
Location: Overland Park, KS
Pay Rate: DOE
Term: 6 Months Temp to Direct
Company Overview:
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting and Finance Coordinator to join their team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Accounting Team and CEO, handling a variety of general accounting tasks essential to the company’s financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and manage client/vendor invoices and purchase orders.
  • Monitor and maintain accounts payable and receivable records.
  • Enter financial transactions into the company’s accounting software.
  • Perform general ledger accounting.
  • Maintain balance sheets, cash flow statements, and financial reports.
  • Create and update expense reports.
  • Organize and file accounting documents.
  • Conduct variance analysis and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare bank deposits.
  • Generate and run financial reports as requested.
  • Assist with audits, forecasts, and financial planning.
  • Gather and prepare information for CPA for annual tax returns.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of bank and credit card statements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to fulfill ad-hoc financial requests.
Required Qualifications:
  • 3 years of accounting and finance experience.
  • Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounts payable/receivable principles.
  • Experience with financial statements, including balance sheets, cash flow statements, and profit and loss statements.
  • Proven ability to create and run financial reports.
  • Strong data entry skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Experience with Paychex HRIS systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Proficiency in Sage Accounting software is highly desired.
