Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Quoting Technician to join a dynamic estimating department. This role is responsible for preparing accurate quotations using customer blueprints and/or physical samples by leveraging Excel-based tools and established internal procedures. The Quoting Technician supports the engineering and production teams by developing Bills of Material (BOM), routing information, and providing final sample part approvals.

This position is ideal for candidates with strong customer service and Excel skills, a mechanical aptitude, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings. Candidates with backgrounds in technical estimating, cost analysis, or finance—especially those with analytical and math-based experience—tend to thrive in this role.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare quotes by reviewing blueprints and/or physical samples to determine labor steps and material requirements.

  • Develop and maintain Bills of Material (BOM) and routing documentation for production use.

  • Collaborate with clients to gather necessary specifications, provide updates, and confirm material selections.

  • Coordinate with vendors to obtain quotes for raw materials.

  • Work closely with production to ensure all necessary tooling and materials are available prior to job kickoff.

  • Generate detailed assembly instructions to support manufacturing processes.

  • Perform inspections and approve sample parts from the production floor.

  • Maintain up-to-date labor and material time data throughout the quoting process.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of Pivot Tables and Lookup Tables.

  • Strong customer service and communication skills; comfortable interfacing with clients.

  • Solid mathematical aptitude and analytical thinking skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder (no sponsorship offered).

    Location: Woodstock, GA 30188
    Type: 6-Month Temp-to-Direct
    Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM | Friday, 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM
    Pay Rate: $21.00/hr.
    Work Environment: On-site | No travel
